A 2 ply two self- striping yarn with long repeats. Spun for loft and softness from Peruvian Corriedale. Corriedale is one of my favorite breeds, it's such a generous fleece. You can spin, weave, knit or felt, whatever you ask of it. it does with grace and reliability.
Walkabout knits up nicely on size three needles at 1200 ypp. Journey at 1800 ypp is a good shawl weight.

a dense but lofty 3 ply Aran weight
This yarn is constructed from a heavy single spun from Jacobs fleece and wrapped with 2 fine randomly painted strands of Corriedale. The result is a three ply Aran weight suitable for cardigans, afghans, boot cuffs or for any project where warmth and durability is wanted.
Jacobs sheep is one of the heritage breeds that I am so happy to be able to use. As one of the primitive breeds it preserves important genetic diversity. For Wooly Bear I choose the loftiest and strongest.,

Spun from natural Shetland or Jacob's fleece, light as thistle down. I choose the softest fiber with the longest staple and spin for lightness and loft. Skeins are specific to a single sheep so each batch is small and unique.
400 yd skeins 2400 ypp $24.00
Sock yarn has to be strong but also resilient and buoyant. I choose fiber for both qualities...often from among the down breeds or primitive breeds. My favorite choice is from the crossbred flock of my friend Margaret.
Sock yarn is three ply fingering weight and firmly spun. Colors are natural or dyed as the mood takes me. Journey yarn makes a nice addition if you like Fair Isle. This yarn is also suitable for hats and mittens.
